About my yoga journey
Hello, my name is Aurélie, but feel free to call me Auré!
Originally from Avignon in France, my yoga journey began in Barcelona, where I discovered the magic of Jivamukti Yoga. I fell in love with its holistic approach and started to immerse myself in a regular yoga practice.
Eager to deepen my understanding of yoga, I completed a 75-hour Teacher Training, guided by inspiring teachers, Olga Oskorbina and Jules Febre. This experience expanded my knowledge of yoga philosophy and asana practice and also helped me to know myself a bit better. Seeking further growth, I then embarked on an immersive 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga teacher training in India, led by Petros Haffenrichter and Hachi Yu. Immersed in the Bhakti tradition for a month, supported by my amazing mentor Karina Gusalova, this journey was truly life-changing!
Alongside Jivamukti Yoga, I enjoy practicing Aerial Yoga, that I discovered with Eleonora Tirabassi in Barcelona through her Bodyflying method. Yoga has become my way of life, extending beyond the mat into various activities like cold plunges with the Wim Hof method, ceramic art, and salsa dancing. All those hobbies are great opportunities to experience union and connection, fostering mindfulness and presence. Those last years, I have also integrated yoga principles into my professional life as R&D Innovation and Team Leader in the food industry, discovering synergies between creativity, growth, and people empowerment.
Now based in the beautiful region of Vorarlberg, Austria, I am excited to share my passion for yoga through teaching. It is a privilege to inspire others on their yoga journey, just as I have been inspired by my own teachers.
Join me as we explore the beauty and power of yoga together!

About
Jivamukti Yoga
“We chose the name Jivamukti (pronounced Jee-va-mook-tee) Yoga to reflect the true aim of yoga, which is liberation. Jiva means individual soul and mukti means liberation. The exact transliteration of the Sanskrit word from which Jivamukti is derived is jivanmuktih, which means liberation while living. The name Jivamukti Yoga reflects the fact that it is possible to have a beneficial and fulfilling life in the world, and also progress spiritually-perhaps even attaining liberation (Samadhi) while living.”
Sharon Gannon and David Life, Jivamukti Yoga
An integrated
method
Did you know that Jivamukti Yoga was born in New York City in 1984?
Created by Sharon Gannon and David Life, this method of yoga integrates the physical, philosophical, and spiritual dimensions of the practice.
Sharon and David's passion for yoga led them to become teachers, driven by a desire to share yoga as more than just a physical exercise – but as a spiritual journey towards enlightenment.
Since their earliest classes, they have offered a modern interpretation of the ancient Indian system of yoga, making it accessible to Western minds.
At the heart of Jivamukti Yoga is a dynamic blend of vigorous asana techniques, meditation, devotional chanting, and study of ancient yogic texts. By embracing all these elements, practitioners embark on a holistic path that nurtures body, mind and spirit.
A path to enlightment
Jivamukti Yoga is a path to enlightment through compassion for all beings. The Jivamukti method is grounded in the original meaning of the sanskrit word ASANA as “SEAT, CONNECTION” – relationship to Earth.
This core philosophy is expressed through FIVE “TENETS” or “PILLARS” which form the foundation of Jivamukti Yoga.
